Chiara Boatti is currently a PhD student in Sciences of the literary, artistic and environmental heritage at the University of Milan, where she is conducting a research project on Pier Paolo Pasolini’s filmography. Her research focuses on Italian Cinema starting from the Second post-war period and on the interactions between State institutions and cinema, as in the case of administrative film censorship. On these topics she has published in scientific journals and conference proceedings. In 2016 she graduated in Modern Philology at the University of Pavia. In 2017 she won the Ermanno Olmi Prize, promoted by the University of Milan, for the best master's thesis in History of Italian Cinema.
