Georgia Aitaki is a PhD candidate in Journalism, Media and Communication at the University of Gothenburg where she teaches the course “Opinions in a Mediatized Society” for Erasmus exchange students. Her research focuses on representations of moments of social tension in Greek television fiction since 1989 and her general academic interests revolve around television fiction, discourse and ideology. Georgia also holds a Research Master degree in Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Groningen and a MA in Film and Television Studies from the University of Glasgow (sponsored by the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation).
