Dimitris Kalantidis is a film historian and critic. He is president of the Federation of Film Societies of Greece and president of the Film Society of Ilioupoli, Athens. He is also a member of Greek Association of Film Critics. He holds an MA in History and Theory of Cinema (University of Crete). He is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Athens, Communication and Mass Media Department (“Adaptation of Modern Greek Narrative Literary Works to Greek Cinema”) and the author of the book Greek Film Bibliography, 1923-2000 (Thessaloniki Film Festival, Greek Association of Film Critics, Egokeros, 2000). He has several contributions in collective volumes on the History and Theory of Cinema (especially on the History of Greek Cinema) and participations in conferences and training programmes.
