Anna Poupou holds a PhD and DEA in Film Studies from University Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle, and MA and BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Athens. From 2008 she has been working as adjunct lecturer in the Universities of Athens, Thessaly, Crete and Thessaloniki. She is currently teaching as adjunct lecturer at the Hellenic Open University and the Theatre Studies Department, University of Athens, and collaborates as a researcher with the Greek Film Archive and the Department of Communication and Media of the University of Athens for the European research programme I-Media Cities: Innovative E-Enviroments for Research on Cities and the Media. Her research interests and publications focus on the history of Greek cinema, the relationship between history and cinema and the urban space in film.
